Have you ever thought about donating your car instead of practically giving it away to a car lot? If you are moving and don't want to transport your car, you can donate it, get a tax write off and help a charity out. We did this once, it was a nice Nissan worked perfectly, I just didn't want to haul it to to TX from NJ, plus I wanted a new one. ; ) So we decided to donate it to a Charity, and I felt really good about giving it to someone that could use it for a good cause.
Here are a couple of chairities that will take your cars.
The Purple Heart. Your donation supports combat wounded and disabled Veterans & their families.
Vietnam Veterans of America. Proceeds help VVA to provide representation to our disabled or needy Veterans for obtaining the assistance they deserve.
Even better, I found a website that has a list of chairities called Donate a Car Chairities. It looks like they have a program for just about every chairity if you have a preference.
