Laguna Niguel approves a study for dwelling units and businesses at a cost of $86,000 for the Gateway district. The city council of Laguna Niguel is going to spend another $86,000 to continue a study of the proposed Bateway district for some 3,000 dwelling units and about 2.4 million square feet of office, retail and service-type purposes.
The city counsultant has been studying the area for over three years. They want to be prepared for further development when the market turns. The location is between the I-5 and the 73 tollway for the future homes and businesses.
It just seems to me a long time to study and it may be time to vote and make a determination on the use of the area. Time for Laguna Niguel to approve the use and not just study the Gateway district but to approve the dwelling units and the businesses.
