Local landscaper and nursery in Scottsdale, AZ

Despite another 100 plus degree day, I ventured out to get some fall plantings for my pots.  I started by going to the nearest locally owned nursery where the people are ALWAYS so helpful.

Located on Scottsdale Rd north of Pinnacle Peak, you'll find this great locally owned nursery who is just starting to get their fall plants in.  They have great ideas and are so knowledgable about how to grow in our hot, desert environment - which plants need shade, which need to be on drip irrigation, how to fertilize.

Stop by and support your home grown companies.  They'll be glad to answer all your landscape questions.  Don't forget to see their HUGE bird cage.  They're nesting right now, so you'll probably only see them peeping out at you from their bird house.

Great localism post Juli I need to venture out and pick up some mums and re-vamp my flower beds for Fall, they are looking kind of scraggly after the long hot summer!

You're brave.  I was told that nurseries are loved by snakes.  :)

Very nice. Our local nursery is closing for the season this weekend.

100 degree day? Wow. Please send some of that heat to Michigan.

Thanks, Marilyn.  This year, I decided to try some colorful succulents instead of annuals.  Wish me luck.

Leolinda - I've had 3 rattlers and 5 bull snakes in my back yard this year alone.  They don't scare me, NOT, LOL.

Josh, isn't that neat?

Jason, I'll gladly share it - it was another 107 degrees today - broke some more records.  But, check back with me in December and January, LOL.

I ended up with a bunch of succulents instead of my usual annual flowers.  Decided to try it. Less water.
