6 Comments on Twin tins? Bet you never noticed and neither did I.....South Oak St., Searcy Arkansas
Barbara, Yes I would agree they are 'tin twins'. Great pictures of Searcy as usual. You never disappoint.
GOOD EYE, Barbara! You can find things we "sleuths" don't even notice. What would we do without you?
Fascinating - I also used to drive there every day when I worked at Harps. Mostly though I noticed the old loading docks on some of the buildings there that used to serve the DK&S railroad. I bet the two tin buildings probably had similar purposes in those days.
Charles, you never disappoint in your nice comments. Why don't you move to our little town?
Anita, the sleuths have made me pay closer attention to everything. The paper today had an article by Luke Jones, who comments right after yours, that a house is being taken down by the school and I'm already getting ready to drive by and see what it is. The court house wouldn't pull it up.
Luke, see my comment above. I think the train probably pulled in and one tin served one side and the other served the opposite side. Or there may have been two tracks and two trains.....note Kensett railroad.....Nice article that you wrote today.
We used to go to Wilson's Feed Store to see the baby chicks! Plus, they would usually have a few puppies. I have not been in there in many years.
Dana, I've never been inside. I need to go inside sometime to see what the walls look like. Are they tin inside too?
