I'm a commercial real estate agent in Toronto. Is Active Rain going to help my business? Any thoughts out there?

There are mostly residential agents in this forum. There are plenty of agents that share leads back and forth. I've also had clients see my posts and call me off of them. It's a lot of work but worth it in my opinion.

I focus more on the residential area. I haven't seen too many posts dealing with commercial properties. The there are so many groups, I could not be looking at the right group.

Mike - I would ask you one question before giving you my opinion. Do your clients use google to find commercial property or a commercial agent? If the answer is yes you can do very well as this platform has terrific google juice.

Mike, first I'd like to Welcome you to Active Rain and the Newbie Group. I suggest you take some time to read through the posts in the Newbie Group. Yes, go all the way to the last page -- you'll find some great posts included that will help you learn your way around the AR Community and how to add pictures, links, videos, etc, etc. etc. Read and comment -- just because it's an older post doesn't mean you can't comment on it and create a "relationship" with the member who posted it. Ask questions -- post your questions on the Newbie Group. Someone will stop by and answer your question.
Look through the groups -- there are 1913 Groups here in the AR Community. I searched for Commercial Real Estate Groups and found 25 of them. Here's a link to the Commercial Real Estate Group. I did check and it is an active group. To find the others go to the home page, click on groups, type in commercial real estate (or whatever subject you're looking for) and click on search.

The site is perfect for commercial real estate agents. CRE agents depend on networking more than residential agents. AR is the perfect forum to network with other CRE agents. Spread the word!
