Over the years I have developed a Buyer's Guide Booklet and have found it to be a very useful tool.

I offer it in

  • Bound version
  • Email pdf attachment
  • PowerPoint presentation

It has been very effective for me, especially at Open Houses and as the first email contact with new users who register on my website

No, that's ok Karen.  I am good for now.  I was just curious.  But thanks for the offer.

Karen:  I would like an emailed copy if you don't mind.  I think it's a great idea and I was thinking about putting something together too, after a bad experience with a customer by not having a Buyer's Agreement.  I've been trying to find a way to gracefully talk to buyer's about buyer's agency without putting them off at the very start.  I like the picture on the front of your book.

Good post. I hand out a home buyer's handbook when I meet them for first time.

I have a bunch in the trunk of my car ready to go.  I also have electronic versions.  Its a great way to break the ice and convert to an appointment.

Good idea on converting it to PDF and email it. This would save on paper and give a good reason to an email address.

Karen-I would be interested in seeing your home buyers guide. I'm trying to put something together specifically for first time buyers. The REBAC site has some samples, but nothing that can be downloaded as a complete pdf.

karen, can you please email me a copy of your book?

My goal in January was to get all my handouts together--pull it into one source to hand to the buyer. I'd like to see what I'm missing!

Thanks

Erica

Karen,

I got your pdf copy of the real estate buyer's guide. Nice work! I'm in the process of putting something together to help buyers. Our markets are different, but most of the information you included is universal. Thank you for being generous enough to share information.

I think that is an excellent idea. A Home buyer's guide could prove to be a valuable tool for first time home buyers.

What medium do you find works best? I have a CD - to me it shows them I am a professional and this is an item of value. Email feels frebie. Bound feels like a waste of paper and not eco friendly.

Trevor,  All of the above - if you want a CD, email pdf or color laser I've got it,  but I do prefer the CD,  Karen
