Farmers’ markets are catching on all around Amador County.
Not that the idea is new, the idea is as old as farming itself, but over the years many of us lost track of the idea of local produce sold at local markets. This is one of the fundamental practices that build communities and now we have them all over our county.

The Amador Farmers Market has been going for fourteen years, these days with markets in Sutter Creek, Pine Grove, Ione, and Plymouth. The Sutter Creek market is on Saturday in the parking lot on Eureka Street from 8:00-11:00 am. Pine Grove holds a market on Wednesday afternoons from 3:00-6:00 pm in the Community Park. Mondays from 3 pm to 6:30 pm Ione hosts the newest market at the West end of Main Street. These markets run from June to the beginning of October. Additionally, for the month of August and the first two weeks of September, there is a market in Plymouth, in Milo Sharkey Park on Main Street, on Thursdays from 4 pm to 7 pm that raises money for the Plymouth Elementary School.
The Amador Farmers Market strives to support local farmers and craftspeople and to feature local musicians. We have a local bakery, local olive oil, local honey, and a bounty of local produce!
Drop by any of our great markets, make some new friends, and pick up some fresh local harvest!
