Become an Organ Donor
Recently I renewed my Pennsylvania driver's license and I was asked to become an organ donor when it was my turn at the counter and photo station. This is something the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has done for many years. If you say yes, "Organ Donor" appears on your license. You can also sign up on line by opening this link. I have said yes for many years.
My brother George, who died just over a year ago, was an organ donor. He died from melanoma that started on his back. At the time of his death, his wife honored his request and now two people have better vision because of my brother's retinas. My brother helped others, which in turn helped his wife to know that a part of him is living on.
Sure, this way of giving may not work with your personal belief's and I respect that, but if there is no conflict, please consider helping others through this final act of charity, and say "yes" when asked to become an organ donor.

Gloria, I just wrote a post for prayers for an Active Rainer who just had a double lung and kidney transplant. She had the surgery on Thursday and so far everything is going good. It is the gift of life.
I've been an organ donor since the day I got my license way back when the wheel was still square! Great post you guys.
Hi Marchel, Thank you for stopping by and alerting me to how an organ donor (or more than one) has given a Fellow Active Rainer Liz Carter another quality chance at life. Here is a link to your post. Yes the gift of life!

My husband and I both are organ donors. Take anything and everything that might help someone else, and then cremated us.
