Celebrate the Summer of Love

 It's A Beautiful Day Cover 

  

 

Famous for their song, "White Bird," It's A Beautiful Day released their first album in 1969. The song became a mainstay of early FM-rock radio across North America. The band features the ethereal violin of founder David LaFlamme, who frequently jammed alongside the likes of Jerry Garcia and Janis Joplin. It's A Beautiful Day moved effortlessly from folk to ethereal jazz to psychedelic to straight on rock & roll, opening for The Grateful Dead, The Jefferson Airplane, Big Brother and The Holding Company (Janis Joplin's band), and performed at Cream's farewell concert.

Today they perform from their catalogue of classics, including "Hot Summer Day", "Bombay Calling," "Girl With No Eyes", "Wasted Union Blues", "Time Is", "Dolphins", "Misery Loves Company", and "White Bird." The show is enhanced by David LaFlamme's delightful reminiscing of the San Francisco Summer of Love Days and 40 plus years of performing.
