My favorite Active Rain news articles of the week are as follows. You really have to give it out to these writers for sharing this information, and I am doing so here:
(1) If Bill H.R. 5028 is passed in the US it will mean that those who foreclose on their property will be able to rent their properties from the bank at market value. This "Proposed Bill in Congress Could Crush Housing Industry" In my opinion, this constitutes another form of usury in my opinion. If i was a homeowner in that position I am not sure if I would accept. Think of it this way. If i have no more title to the property and pay rent for the property, (1) it means the banks themselves don't see the value in the property and don't believe that it will sell, it also means that (2) the banking systems are becoming landlords not just mortgagers, which reminds me of the land-title systems before land-title systems, in the old world, where should you become late with payments you were kicked off the land and all your interests in that land were abolished. I think these bills would enter a dark period in our real estate history...
(2) There are more than 480 Olympic condo's still available for sale, with another development slated to begin shortly, offering up another 400 units to the total. The complete article is here.
(3) Facebook has donated 100 million in facebook shares to the rebuilding of a public school in New Jersey, this sets up a whole new precedent for social networking and its effects on education in the physical world.
(4) Justin presents some great and easy to implement SEO tips for everyone in Real Estate. I've printed this to remind me of the nifty checklist I should be following to help increase the exposure of my wordpress site. I belong to those who have been using multiple categories for my posts, and i haven't been using tags all that much either.
(5) Want to know just how much money is being made on short-sales in the US. "You HAVE To See This!" It really does blow my mind that, if this is true, there is so much money to be made in short sales simply by taking money from the social fabric and the federal reserve. I think it's a dirty system you've got. Thanks for sharing. I'm happy to be here north of the border and hope somethign like this doesn't happen to us.

Alan, thanks for the comment. I like to give credit where it is due and love sharing some of, what I feel, is the best work on AR. Hope you dig the links. Cheers.
Hello, my name is Jark! I have been a real estate investor for the past 15 years, predominately in the Greater Vancouver area but also in the developing real-estate locales of Whistler as well as Revelstoke. I share my research and writing on a daily basis as an added service to my clients. It's important to realize that REALTORS are not only sales people but are also scholars of Real Estate in their own right. The hundreds of articles I've published serve to exemplify this point.
In Vancouver specifically, I’ve bought and sold more than four businesses of my own – prior to licensing as a real estate licensee – and have bought three passive real-estate holdings. If you’re looking for an agent who’s not only thought about real estate but has also bought and sold his own properties, and taken his own calculated risks, give me a holler and we’ll discuss the market and your participation therein. For more than theory, speak to someone who’s empirically on the same page as an experienced real estate investor.
