A friend of mine called my attention to this weird story. There is a former pro basketball player named Jay Vincent. Obviously he has not been in the pros for awhile since he is 51 in people years.

However, he and some friends came up with this internet scam that apparently made them two million bucks. It involved getting people to sign up to be home inspectors who were, in theory, certified to do bank foreclosure inspections. They took people's money apparently, but they had no work to pass on. He got caught.

You can read the story here.

You would think that someone with that much fame could get a job that was legit.

You would think being on 6 teams in the 80's and averaging 15 pts. he would have invested wisely.

maybe he should have had someone inspect his investment strategy.

Enjoy the day

That is such a sad thing for him to do. I can't see how anyone can steal money in such a manner.

As for investing...he most likely loaned a good chunk of the monies he made to family and spent the rest like crazy.... That is what most likely would have happened to me...I think.

Coming to you from Texas,,,
