Nothing is moving, but still...
To make it stop just concentrate on one spot. Everything is under your control.
Malcolm, exactly the response I was hoping for. Concentrate, contentrate, your eyes are getting heavy.......
Kevin,
Love this series, have you ever seen the work of Vasarely? This post reminds me of that, when we were in Mexico City, we saw an exhibit of his work woven into rugs by his students. It must have been trying to focus, and they were magnificent. He has a whole building/museum outside of Aix en Provence in France, and it well worth a visit.
I'm not familiar with Vasarely but soon will be. If his works are of a physiological nature that would be doubly intriguing. Europe is on the horizon this spring so I may add the museum tour to the holiday.
Kevin,
Where did you get this optical illusion? Years ago a scientist Muzafer Sherif carried out an experiment called the "autokinetic effect". He put people in a dark room and showed them a single point of light, and then asked them how far the point of light moved. You wouldn't believe how many people got this apparent movement wrong.
Dee, I'm pretty sure this came from photobucket. There are three types of optical illusions I've learned that effect our perceptions differently some controllable others involuntary. Intriguing to say the least.
Kevin, I really love those optical illusions. That's a great one. When you look at the circles as a whole, they look as if they are moving. But, if you focus in on only one, you see that they are still.
This one is a little easier on the eyes I think. Tracking the black dots on the previous post is just too tedious, I'm worn out. Do you need more Sandy?
