Southington Apple Harvest Festival

Home Stager

"Lights .... Camera .... APPLES" is the theme of this years Southington Apple Harvest Festival. It starts this weekend on Friday October 1st, 2010 at 5pm!

We LOVE the Southington Apple Harvest Festival.  This annual family friendly eventspans the first 2 weekends in October.  It's time to get ready for 6 days of fun, food, live entertainment, crafts and so much more!

This very special community event couldn't take place without the generous support of local organizations, businesses and volunteers - which makes Southington a wonderful community to visit and even better place to live.

Apples are one of my favorite fruits, and this festival sounds like a lot of fun.  I did not realize that CT grew apples.  Apple pie is the quintessential American dessert and definitely one of my favorites.

Karen this has always been a fun event. We used to go regularly some years back, especially when they had an antique car show attached to it. One of our club members was a Southington resident and he organized the car show because he knew he'd get a bunch as well.

I believe I am the reason for the Fritter eating contest. I think I sat there and ate them as fast as they could make them. Ymmmmm
