You are no good at sales. You will never make it selling real estate. You don't know anything about homes or construction, how could you sell real estate? You don't like to read, you can't understand contracts or do the huge amount of paperwork needed to sell property. This profession is just not for you!
Ever hear these words? Look at the ones I put in bold. That is what you really heard. Is it not?
It is time to ask yourself, "Who do you believe?" Anyone that says things like this to you does not have your best interest at heart. Should you believe someone that doesn't want you to succeed? Or should you believe your heart? If you have a passion for real estate or anything else and you want to succeed enough to sacrifice your time, resources and effort, you may be surprised at how far you can go with tenacity.
It is the passion,
that most people lack,
that holds them back.
It is also the belief that they cannot make it, and usually, someone instilled this within them years ago.
I know a man that was told in grade school, he could not sing. He believed it and he has never even tried to sing. I know a woman that was told as a child, she could not spell. She believed that and today still has trouble spelling simple words. She is a brilliant lady but lacks the confidence to put things on paper.
It may be a little thing like these that hold people back. They are false beliefs. Why would you believe someone who hurt you or that you don't like? That is silly, but we do. Take time and examine your beliefs about yourself. Is there something deep inside that needs to change? Is it rooted in a false belief?
Get rid of that belief. Begin to believe in yourself. Hang out with people who will lift you up, who will believe in you. We all need positive role models and we need positive friends. If someone brings your spirit down, stop associating with them. Choose your friends wisely and your days will be filled with happiness. Sometimes, happiness is as simple as that. Go do the things that make you happy. If it is real estate sales, go be the best agent you can be. You will succeed if you have the passion and the tenacity.
