What? A Business Card for Marketing

By
Real Estate Agent with John R Wood Realtors SL 3096476

I had a very interesting day today. I was called yesterday to come see Mr. So and So who had two very high end condos on Gulf Shore Drive in Naples he wanted to list. Yesterday was a day I wanted to forget. Got up early felt awful 9fever, aches, chills) . So when his call came in I was not my usual self and simply got his name, telephone number, address and time to meet- none of my usual chatting.  When I arrived and we had that it's nice to meet you conversation I couldn't wait to find out how he got my name. We all spend time and money on marketing and I love to hear how wisely (or not) I have spent my marketing money.

Are you ready for this? He simply said, "your business card was in a pent house (listed for sale) I visited". What's funny is I know there are a lot of showings on this property because it's one of the lowest priced of it's kind and there were no other cards there. My thought at the time was that the listing agent had probably picked them up, which may have been the case OR the other agents hadn't left theirs.

Case in point! LEAVE YOUR CARD at your showings - whether its a penthouse or a foreclosure and may business come to you as well. And oh yeah, I got the listings.

YEAH! Good for you. I always sing the "i got a brand new listing" song to the tune of Willie Wonka's "I've got a golden ticket" song. The words fit so well and CAN be so true! (If it's price right).

Hi Lynn!  I always leave my card and have actually received calls from the sellers when I do that as well.  Congrats on the listings--I know you'll take good care of the sellers and get the condos SOLD!

This isn't the first time of heard of something like this happening. My question is where was the agent showing them the home? Wouldn't you think they would notice a person picking up another agents card and start to ask questions?
