Welcome to Carolina Cove on beautiful Lake Livingston. I lived in this wonderful community for 13 years and LOVED every minute of it. So why did we move? The house out grew us. Once we were "empty-nesters", we couldn't see the purpose of heating, cooling, maintaining and paying taxes on a home we didn't need. So... we sold "The Big House" and bought 2 acres directly on the Trinity River.  This was only after we lost 2 other small houses to other buyers while we were getting ourselves emotionally ready to sell. EVERYONE wants to live in Carolina Cove.

It was an emotional thing for both my husband and me. The subdivision is small and we lived on "The Circle" In the photo above, the circle is across the water. It's an island and every home is waterfront except for 3 that are in the center of the circle and 2 on the south side of the boat ramp. We personally knew every home owner on our street except for one, and in 13 years, I NEVER saw that home owner at their house. Anyway... Our block was always throwing some kind of get together! We had fish fries, super bowl parties, and fireworks wars between the circle and the other side of the water -where I shot this picture from. Rick and I always had the Carolina Cove Christmas Party at our house! It is a very social neighborhood. FAMILY!

Carolina Cove owns their own streets, which is super cool if you have kids or grandkids. Mini bikes, go carts, golf carts,  four wheelers... they are legal on the streets of Carolina Cove. There is a wonderful little campground and marina located within the subdivision. People from all of the surrounding neighborhoods visit the marina for coffee and to report the "local news." :O)  Cove Marina.... ahhh... more great memories!

Anyway... I love the river land that we bought, BUT, there is no comparison to the family like community of Carolina Cove.

So... when you get ready to buy on Lake Livingston, give me a call and let's go to my old stompin' ground! We're sure to be greeted by Phyllis working in her garden... or the Carter's who live over Carter Cove... FOR SURE we'll stop in the marina... and if you're lucky... there will be a house for sale in this little piece of Heaven by the water!

Good morning Joni,

Sounds like a great place to live and would definitely call you to trot over to visit your old stomping grounds! I'll bet Phyllis might even make some lemonade!

That's a very relaxing scene, Joni!  The area looks similar to Rancho Seco Park here in Sacramento County.  My family enjoys the activities available very much!  Nice photo.  Thanks for sharing it with us.

Joni, What a wonderful testimony to your former community!  Were I in the market for a home in that area, you would definitely be the go-to person.
