Palmetto Commerce Parkway is a roadway that began development in 2006. The final segment of Palmetto Commerce Parkway is scheduled to open early 2011. Palmetto Commerce Parkway will link Ladson Road to Ashley Phosphate Road. This will create new traffic patterns in the area, as well as alleviate traffic congestion in surrounding area, such as Ladson Rd, Dorchester Rd, Ashley Phosphate Rd and I-26.
Palmetto Commerce Parkway is a four-lane divided roadway with a 20 FT wide grass median. The parkway features a 6 FT wide multi-use path for walking and bicycling. The medians are landscaped and feature street lamps.
Palmetto Commerce Parkway currently connects to Patriots Blvd in Palmetto Commerce Park. Patriots Blvd begins at Palmetto Commerce Parkway and runs thorugh Wescott Plantation (residential neighborhood) to Ashley Phosphate Road, passing by the entrance to Coosaw Creek, a residential neighborhood.
Palmetto Commerce Park is a class A industrial park with entrances on Lason Rd...and in early 2011, an entrance near the Ashley Phosphate Rd.
