Women's Only 5K Walk & Run tomorrow in Greensboro

Help support a very worthy cause in Greensboro tomorrow.  You could be helping someone you know.

Women of all ages, including girls 7 years and older, may walk or run the 3.1-mile certified course. Medals will be presented to girls 13 and younger and breast cancer survivors who participate. Walking teams and families are especially encouraged to register, but they will need to do so individually. Proceeds from the Women's Only 5K Walk & Run fund the Mammography Scholarship Fund at The Women's Hospital, which provides screening mammograms for women who are unable to afford them. In the past 17 years, the Women's Only has raised more than $350,000, helping countless numbers of women in our community detect and overcome breast cancer.

The scholarship fund provides free mammograms and follow-up care for women who do not have insurance and are unable to qualify for Medicare or Medicaid.
