I'm sure glad that tonight's game between the Oakland Raiders and the Seattle Seahawks is only pre-season.
I grew-up about 20 miles South of Oakland and the Raiders have always been "My Team", even when the 49ers were doing so well in the 80's under the late, GREAT coach Bill Walsh. - I sure am glad the the 49ers renamed their field after him, I can't think of a much more fitting tribute to one of the all time great coaches of the NFL.
Back to the subject... I grew-up a Raiders fan, but I moved to Washington about 10 years ago and have adopted the Seattle Seahawks as "My Other Team". That really set-in when when Paul Allen hired Mike Holmgren, whom I've always admired as a great coach.
So here we have it... "My Team" vs. "My Other Team".... I'm not sure that I can choose who to root for... I sure am glad it is only pre-season, so it doesn't really matter... They won't face each-other in the regular season, so I think I'll just be excited about every play going both ways and look for a good game where nobody gets hurt...
I hate to wimp-out on a decision, but I think I'll have more fun watching the game this way. So thats what I'm gonna do!
