I bet you are a great Dad Andrew.............
Andrew,
Awesome post about stepping up and teaching kids responsibility by example. Parents need so to be involved activities with their children and work with their children. Young people need ways to EARN and LEARN. It's up to us to provide that. Our children worked and their children do also.
The two grandsons that are local and the granddaughter that is local, all three help on the farm and EARN AND LEARN.
Love the videos.
Andrew,,,
Great post about the need to not only guide children, but to support them with activities and community involvment.
Being a part of a community and making a difference...can't put a price on that lifestyle.
We were just talking about this last night at dinner. I told ActiveBob he needed to sign up and Coach Basketball at the Rec Center.
Andrew, Great post and very well presented as always. Maybe I'll rethink the fact that when my twin daughters graduated in 04 I fled the H.S. gym. You are right...they need us.
ActiveChildren....good post...
To spotlight the subject matter only benefits us all...thank you Andrew....
Kids also keep you honest as you can not tell them they should do this, this way if we don't ourselves. Kids can spot a phoney a 100 miles away. Your mentor as a real estate professional was your hardest teacher who challenge you. The four H instructor that told you sure you can...giving you a boot in the pants of confidence. To stretch, grow, reach and then in turn when the kid spell wears off and poof...you are an adult. Well, assume the position and help kids like you were helped, guided by the local villagers.
Great work!
What a great post Andrew! Thank you for reminding parents like me to take a time off from our busy schedules and get involve in our children's lives. We have so much to learn from our kids as they do.
Love the videos too Andrew! Yes, the Maine village is an awesome place for kids to grow and learn from all, each neighbor (parent or not) chipping in to guide and support the flock.
Hi Andrew~ These parents that think they are doing their kids a favor by giving them everything and not requiring them work and earn their own way are in for a rude awakening!
Hi Andrew -- Kids are only young once and we owe it to them to give them both a first class education, safety, security, but also simply let them be kids and experience what being a kid should be all about...even if that is a bit different for each one. We keep those memories for a lifetime with us, and we should do all we can to ensure those are positive, happy memories. I know I sure try as hard as I can.
I borrow my Niece and Nephews to learn stuff and stay current with the "in" lingo and trends. Plus, it is plain fun.
