Kids Are Better At Their Roles Than The Actors That Have To Play Them.

Kids steal the show, have center stage, surrounded, flooded by the wash of bright spotlights.

And what adult, parent, teacher would not bend over backwards to help kids?

 Remembering the goodness, the fresh young potential and need for fun and games that only a person in the fraternity of under 44 inches tall class can really take hold of, run with.

Kids make fun, games, recreation a major priority.

Maybe it is easier if most of your other life mechanics are handled by the parents.

The home room teacher, little league or basketball or hockey coach, etc.

Is the secret that kids may have a paper route, mow lawns, stack winter wood?

Or pick Northern Maine potatoes but don't have a mortgage, skate board payments, house insurance or to settle up on the weekly grocery bill.

No worries about upcoming college tuition bills for themselves, or two brothers, one sister that eats around the same family dining room table.

So being freed up from the financial worries could be the secret.

To explain why adults get so serious, so fast. Why kids are always ready to drop everything, resume where ever they were in the last game. What you as an adult, parent do for fun often involves kids as the catalyst. Partly to make sure they have those family traditions, vacations, time each day to enjoy the short stint of their life called childhood.

Not just because your kid is on the team and then had enough of that, but stick with it.

boy or girl scouts?

Summer camps, hiring kids on one of your local farm or business enterprises?

If you do, you know that it's not just doing something nice for kids.

It is the secret to seeing that goodness, the spark, remembering what it was like to be a kid yourself. And helping them learn responsibility, pride in doing their best. 

When you live in a small town, a place with a sense of community and being connected, helping each other is standard procedure. The whole village raises those kids. The role is a reverse to help kids like you were supported when you were a kid. Maine, get back to basics. Where kids are the entertainment, family, community is the purpose of being here.
