I have tried a few lead services. The few I tried only made money for the service.
Have any of you had different results?

Unfortunately, no.
I've worked for people who bought leads by the to from all of the major sources (you know who!) and they were virtually worthless. The 'hot transferrs' are garbage too.
There are 'Human Machines' that blow up the phones and do very well with those leads- but it's not for everybody.
Aloha Marc,
Thank you for the response.
One service who was charging big bucks kept sending me John Smith with the e-mail address of smith@aol.com even after I reported it mutliple times.
Possibly someone in the blogs has had a good experience they can share with us.
Another realtor friend of mine is paying big bucks to one of those companies. In excess of 1k per month. After 6 months, he still has not made a sale. Too bad he went for the 1 year contract.
I am sure I know which service. Their response to him is he needs to be patient. Most of their leads take 12 to 18 months before they buy. In other words they will be disappointed with him if he does not renew after only 12 months without a sale. He did not give it enough time.
A better use of his money would be to put on a sandwich board and a new pair of sneakers and walk up an down downtown with hand bills. He will get just as many leads at a much lower price and a much higher closing rate.
Wont touch em. I feel money is better spent elsewhere. Spoke to many people over the years as well in regards to their experiences, so far nothing good to report. Why you think they always have territories open??? Cause the last person just cancelled! LOL!
I tried HouseValues.com & it was one of the worst experiences ever. I continually received false names, #'s, emails & addresses that did not exist. After complaining about the leads, they just gave me additional leads per month (which were worthless) as opposed to a reimbursement.
Realestate.com was better, but still not worth it.
Does anyone have a good experience?
