Hi Gerry, Fall is my favorite time of year, it looks like it may be yours too!  You've certainly captured some beautiful photos of the season.

Mary,

For me, it is a toss up between Fall and Spring.  I am just glad I am able to experience true fall this year (last year's Fall only lasted a few days because of the early arrival of snow and I hardly got the opportunity to take good photos).   :)

Hi Gerry - A great concept for a new series.  Lovely colour fall leaf photos to celebrate autumn.  Our leaves in Toronto have started to turn as well.

Marc,

Thank you...and I read on a post of yours about reports available online to help find the best spots in Ontario to see the leaf Fall colors twice a week (on Tuesdays and Fridays).  That is a nice concept too!  :)

For those who did not see the post and live or visit Ontario, check out Marc Swartz's post (Where is the best spot to see Leaf Fall Colours in Ontario?) to find out where to find the reports online.

Hi Gerry - I remember back in the olden days (i.e. early internet / pre-internet), I had to call a toll-free number operated by the same Ontario tourism organization to listen to a recording to find out where to see the fall leaves.  It is so much easier to now get the info online.

Marc,

I remember doing lots of things over the phone in the 1990's and early 2000's and it gotten much simpler and much less time consuming thanks to the magic of the Internet.   I still dread the companies that you still have to call to get service and they still make you go through the automated voice recognition system and you have to speak or select many options before you ge to speak to a live person.   :)

Bill,

You are welcome.  It is easy to forget we are in fall when most of the trees around you are palm trees.  :)

Gerry,

All I can say is breathtaking, words can not do justice to these vistas how lucky to live in a Northern climate it the fall.

They are all great photos in this blog but I really like the first one with the group of trees against the mountain peak in the background!  Very nice!

Paul,

I wanted to make sure I started this series of posts and first post with a bang.   Some times the simpler the view (focusing on one subject or group, or two things with two very different colors to provide a striking contrast), the better the feel conveyed by the photo.   I am glad you liked the intro photo!  :)

I hope you will come back for the finale.
