6 Comments on THE MONKEYS PAW........be careful what you wish for........
richie...i've seen too many short cuts lately in life & still people don't learn. It's true the grass is always greener on the other side...people forget to take great joy in the ones they cherish & life that is lived...best
Thank you Ginny: Your worthy comment was best learned by me when I first became aware of the story I mentioned in my post. Thanks for coming by....
Wow. You brought it home full circle saying..."there is a way that seems right...." I've been that person many times, who wished for something, and only much later realized what sorrow would have come about had it been granted. Then what gratefulness envelops me...to realize how providence protects me, even from myself should it be necessary.....
Kathleen...your experience is shared by all because it is all too common. How we learn life's lessons are not as important as learning them.......thanks you
Love that story! Thanks for sharing. I can look back over my life and see many times how I am better off not having recieved what I wished for at the time.
Tammy...the trick is to learn to accept what comes into your world and handle that correctly. In that process lies your portion which will satisfy all your needs and wants. Any deviation from that puts us on another plane or dimension in regards to the subject matter. So, you discover ways to up your ante, but lose part of yourself while doing it....doesn't make sense. The story remains one of my favorites and the message is clear....thank you for commenting.....Tammy
