8 Comments on Out & About San Diego with Jim Frimmer, Your Mission Valley Realtor — The 2010 MCAS Miramar Air Show: The Canadian Snowbirds invaded!
Hi Jim, very nice pictures. I thought you were talking about people coming down for the warm weather, but I love the planes. I guess we are always looking for catchy titles so people will look at the blog -- good job.
I love these air shows! A highlight of my 20 years in the Navy was living in Pensacola where I could sit in my office at the Navy Hospital at times and watch the Navy's Blue Angels practice.
Hey Jim, we are glad you enjoyed our Snowbirds, the flyby was dedicated to you and Russel.
Cool pictures, I love watching air shows and hearing the jets roar by. Having spent a lot of time on flight lines in my younger days it brings back great memories.:)
Ana
Jim - looks like you got a perfect blue sky canvas for your great shots. I can almost hear the roar! Thanks ...
There's nothing like watching the precision of an elite group like this at an air show. Really gets the adrenaline pumping.
Great pictures Jim! I just saw one of the planes on display over at Russel's blog, so I figured I should come over here and see what you had to share! This looks like it was a fantastic show. I can't wait to see what you guys have in store for us this week!
Liz – I’ve very bad trying to come up with catchy titles. In the rare instances where I do, I get help from Zoey the Cool Cat, and others. LOL
Gary – I’m close enough to Miramar to get to see the planes practice yet far enough away not to get all of the noise from their various flybys.
Al and Peggy – We kind of thought that flyby, and some other formations, like the heart, was dedicated to us.
Ana – Russel can take the noise, but I had to buy a set of earplugs for the show.
Jack – Unfortunately, the Army’s Golden Knights didn’t perform at the Sunday show because the clouds didn’t dissipate until 1:15. They were supposed to perform at 11:00 a.m. Once the clouds started to dissipate, they left quickly and we got the high altitude show from both the Snowbirds and the Blue Angels.
Chris Ann – That’s one way to describe it.
Stephanie – Between the two of us, we took over 800 pictures at the show. Not all of them will be usable, which makes viewing and cataloging quite a task.
