Riveredge Nature Center's Sturgeon Fest 2010 to be held at Thiensville Village Park, 299 Elm Street, Thiensville, WI 53092. This is a family event with special children's activities, a live reptile and animal educational display and a special ceremonial drumming and blessing of the sturgeon by the Potawatomi. Food will be available for purchase from the M/T Lions. Free to attend; $5 per sturgeon if you would like to sponsor and release your own sturgeon in to the Milwaukee River (number of sturgeon may be limited; register early). No limit and no fee to number of participants disposing of unused or outdated prescriptions drugs. Electronic and hazardous waste collection limited to 120 preregistered residents and charged a $10 site access fee to help defray the costs.
