How Many Hats Do We Wear? This Could Only Be Love.

By
Real Estate Agent with MungoList.com

When I received my real estate license, I had no idea what I was getting into. I was under the false impression that I was only expected to know about purchasing and selling real estate. I am writing this today because of a meeting I had with a client earlier this afternoon. She is a first time home buyer and is concerned that she can't afford to buy a house. She has already been pre-approved but she wanted to see if she could really afford the payments, so she asked me to go through all of finances with her to see how much she would have left after paying her mortgage each month. She said she couldn't do it on her own because she was bad with numbers. We went through this exercise and now she feels confident that she can live comfortably and still pay a mortgage. Since getting my license I have become a mortgage expert, financial adviser, construction consultant, a life coach at times, and a motivational speaker. The crazy part about all of this is that I love it. Only love and passion could allow someone to endure in this business. If you are a rookie, get ready to add some more roles to your job description.  I am sure many of the veterans can relate.

Enjoy The Day!

The list could go on and on. I do love what I do even if I have to wear so many different types of hats.

Robert - I don't know if it happens because we want it to, or because we just have to so that the business can run smoothly, but you're absolutely right about us having to do more than help people buy and sell houses.  I enjoy that aspect of it because it keeps things interesting.  Good post.
