Shhhhhhh... Don't tell my family I am writing this blog right now. You see I am "on vacation". As a real estate agent; I've never taken a real vacation. There seems to be a file or two that requires attention even though I have colleagues that can take over or work hard to close them before I leave. I have been officially barred from taking my computer; but they never said I can't take a glad drive. YES!!!!!!! All I need is the business center and I'm in business.
My son gave me the third degree. Apparently he is convinced that mom is incapable of shutting down. Of course, it's my duty to discount that assertion; as I'm sneaking copies of the file into my carry on. I'm always surprised at how much you can fit into the momma bag. I even throw in some snack foods over the files to officially hide them.
Calls are still needing to be made or received. As my own short sale negotiator; I must obtain updates and make sure these files are moving. How can I tell a worried and anxious seller that my time with Mickey Mouse is taking over their file closure.
I know my boundaries and my family is first. But if I can squeeze in that call while they are still sleeping or send that email while they are on that spine pulling ride for the 10th time then I try. The fun never ends.
