As I was looking at the contents under my bathroom and kitchen sink I was trying to think about how could these items relate to me and my real estate business? All of these things are different, but I did find one common similarity between them all. They are all GENERIC! Stuff that I bought from Costco in bulk to save money. These items may not be "name brand", like the high end Hefty, Cascade, and Charmin Utra with ripples, but it gets the job done. The generic brand
I can somewhat in ways relate to my generic goods. I mean look at my name "Stacey Smith" how much more generic can you get??? I am not a flashing person, I don't drive a flashy car, I love my little Nissan Altima Hybrid, I have never paid more than $50.00 for a pair of jeans, sale racks are fantastic, and I unfortunately don't own a single diamond (that last statement is almost the sadest thing I have ever heard.)
My life my appear to be just as generic as the products under my kitchen and bathroom sink, but just as my generic products, I work just as hard, if not harder to get the job done. How many name brand agents do you know that will knock on doors in 110 degree weather to advertise an open house that will be held the following weekend? Or talk to residents in a new communtiy about the quality of their new house for a client, because your client didn't exactly read the best reviews on the internet about this particular builder, so you decide to go straight to the residence of of this new community to get the hard facts for your client to settle or confirm any doubts they may have had.
I don't charge anymore or less than any other agent in my market center, but I can promise you that I do go above and beyond to make sure I give my clients FIRST CLASS service. Any of my past or present clients will tell you that Stacey Smith is ANYTHING! But Generic! My business plan is based upon the "Purple Cow" Theory, those that don't know what that is just ask yourself, "Would you forget a purple cow if you ever saw one?", my point exactly! I want my clients to always remember me, and so I strive to stand out! Not only by giving them the best service I possibly can, but also getting to know them personally so I can strategically pick out a closing gift that they will never forget! One of the best examples of a closing gift that I got for a client was a fridge full of beer, wall to wall, nothing but beer! What 29 year old guy is ever going to forget that?? (If you would like to see a picture of that I posted a blog about a few weeks ago, I will say it is quite an amazing thing to see.)
But to put it simply, though my life my seem "generic" I am anything but generic. I work hard and I stand out, at the close of escrow I will not give my clients a candle and a gift card and expect to get referrals, I will do everything I can and work extra hard to stand out and do the best job possible! My name is Stacey Smith I am a Realtor and I am ANYTHING BUT GENERIC!
