Is this technology making me more productive or is it sucking the energy out of me?
How can something that seems to connect me with people (one of the whole reasons I'm in the Real Estate business) make me so tired?
I love the techy stuff, and I'm just a minor player, but working through every little task is time consuming and takes a toll on my brain.
Will this prevent me from getting Alzheimer's? If I can "speak" with my children's generation in "txt" will I be better connected or just look silly? I'm friends on Facebook with many of my kids friends, having cheered them on in every type of sport event or speech and drama show.
If ever a person needs a wake up call about just how much time all this stuff takes, try this, it's happened to me in the last 2 months:
- laptop flipped out, needed a 911 computer guy fix, but of course I still had to redo a ton of stuff
- phone charger only works when I position it just right (too annoyed to stand in the "fix it" line)
- new desktop computer, wanted the bigger screen for my home office and want to just have a "pad" of some type when my laptop pukes next time. This means new windows 7, new msoffice and I'm not sure what else
There's a few other things I really want to accomplish, and I get excited everytime I learn and accomplish something at this computer desk, but it makes my brain tired, and then I need to quilt or something just to chill out a little bit.
