This post is my very first entry in an Active Rain contest! The contest is by Charles Buell, called "Proof that I can blog about anything!" The basic idea of the contest is to provide an opportunity for all active rain bloggers to stretch themselves----to step "outside-the-box" a bit----and realize that there is stuff to blog about everywhere one looks ----even under the kitchen sink.
I looked under my kitchen sink. "Ugh. Am I a clean freak?", I wondered as I looked through all the stuff. So, I started throwing things out and stopped when I came to one product I couldn't do without.
Next to soap and water, the only other thing that I think any home needs to keep it close to being perfectly clean, or looking clean, is the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.
This magic sponge can fix almost any oops, mark, scuff, dirt, even soap scum by just adding water and rubbing on your "scuff or dirt mark" that you think prevents your house from looking perfect! It even cleans tile floors!
This should be the #1 item given to all Sellers who say, "I cleaned - really. I know it doesn't look like it. But I did." Here you are M/M Seller - a little time with this magic bar and your baseboards, appliances, window sills, showers, tubs and more can all look like Mrs. Clean spent days scrubbing and polishing!
But the real magic I would like to see is a Magic Eraser just for Buyers. Especially for the Buyer who found the perfect house except:
-
It has a pool
-
That room is in the wrong place
-
I wish the neighbor didn't have such an ugly fence that I'd have to look at.
-
That tower interrupts the mountain view.
-
I'd rather not have a 3-car garage.
-
I can't live with the tile and it'll cost too much to remove it...
... and other things we've all heard Buyer's who say, "if only". Here you are M/M Buyer - a Magic Eraser! Simply erase what you don't like and you will have the perfect home of your dreams!
Back to reality, the point of all this is, no one can erase features of a home to make it just what they are looking for. And no Seller will have a showroom, 100% clean, perfect home.
Throw out things that aren't critical and find one main thing (or a couple things) that will be just what you need to make your perfect home. And like magic, you will soon see the true feature that makes any home perfect -
is bringing happiness into it.
