So we have watched Countrywide go through some turmoil over the last few weeks. I wrote about it last week over here Countrywide turmoil. Anyway I was wondering if anyone has seen any changes in countrywide in the last few weeks. Are they still offering the same loan programs? Also does anyone see a risk with getting a Countrywide loan given the current issues with Countrywide?

While I don't see much of a risk with Countrywide, to misquote a famous song "...the loans (times) they are a changin'"!  It is always best to ask their loan officers if there will be any problem with the loan that is locked in and if so, what is the backup plan.

I closed 4 loans for Countrywide this week -- a purchase and 3 refinances. It's business as usual.
