Did you know that the Labor Day Parade in Lowell is the oldest Labor Day Parade in Indiana?

The Harvest of Fun is from August 31 thru September 3, 2007.

I personally have attended this fun filled weekend. When my daughter was in 4H Club, she used to ride her horse in the Color Guard in the beginning of the Parade.

Schedule of Events are as follows:

Friday, August 31st Consignment Auction - 7:00 P.M.(Viewing begins at 6:00 P.M.) Beer Garden & Food Court

Saturday, September 1st 11:00 A.M. - Arts & Craft Vendors, Food, Beer Garden, Entertainment, Bigger & Better Carnival by Top Notch Amusements 2:00 - 6:00 Music by LONESOME JUBILEE 3:00 - Dancing Devlins 7:00 - 11:00 Music by MR. FUNNYMAN

Sunday, September 2nd  11:00 A.M.- Arts & Craft Vendors, Food, Beer Garden, Entertainment, Bigger & Better Carnival by Top Notch Amusements 1:00 - 54th Annual Kiddie Parade led by " Hand Thumb" (line up at Old Time Square beginning at Noon)

Sunday, September 2nd  1:45 - Magician Show by Steve Belliveau 3:00 - 5:00 ELVIS - Curt Lechner, Impersonator  6:00 - 9:00 - Music by TIN HORSE 8:00PM - SPECTACULAR FIREWORKS SHOW Located behind Oak Hill Elementary School, 425 S. Nichols Bring blankets/lawn chairs $2 parking donation Patriotic Entertainment prior to show by local talent

Monday, September 3  11:00 A.M. - 6 P.M. Arts & Craft Vendors, Food, Beer Garden, Carnival by Top Notch, Entertainment 10 AM - 88TH Annual

Lowell Labor Day Parade 10 a.m. (Oldest Running Labor Day Parade in the State of Indiana) Begins at Dairy Queen and runs west to the American Legion Ground 1:00 - 5:00 - Music by FOX 6:00 - Chamber 50/50 Raffle

Chuck, great idea for a post and info that is important for visitors and residents alike.  I've enjoyed my recent trips to Lowell for soccer, I think I've been there a dozen times lately ... huge soccer complex!

I agree, Lowell is a nice town to visit. The soccer complex is something else. I like the downtown area with all the little shops.

SALLY = I have many relaxing plans for the long weekend. Hope you and your family have a fun filled weekend. In fact, I am going to the Lowell Parade. We try to get there every Labor Day.
