Hi everyone! As many of you may know, I have been lacking on the blogging lately here in Activerain. One reason is because of how busy I've been with building a brand new website. Well, I didn't build it myself, the great team at Real Estate Webmasters (REW) built the site. All I've been doing was adding content to the site.

How We Won A Free Website

Anyways, this website, which is a Limited Edition Custom website known as an LEC 5, was given to us as a reward ($10,000 value!!!!) for a reputation management contest that REW held for a fellow Realtor. 

The contest was to try and get a fellow Realtors name (Carolyn Capalbo) ranked in the top 3 spots in Google. Long story short, her name was being buried due to a promiscuous women, and it wasn't helping her real estate career.

So, a whole bunch of Realtors with some great SEO knowledge teamed up to help her take her name back, and I would say we came through with flying colors! She now dominates the first page of Google! 

We ended up coming in third place in the contest. The reward for coming in third place was a free trip to Real Estate Webmasters Summit.

The summit is where Morgan Carey, the CEO/Founder of REW, brings some of the best real estate SEO experts together to brainstorm and share ideas. If you're interested in learning from the best of the best when it comes to real estate SEO, I would recommend you attend the conference next fall. 

During the announcement of the winners of the contest, we were a little confused on the way the prizes were going to be distributed. There were three prizes; a free website plus hosting for 10 years ($19,000+ value), $5,000 worth of free content from the REW professional writing team, and of course the free trip to Nanaimo, Canada to attend the REW Summit ($4,000 value). 

The way the contest prizes were worded in Morgan's blog post made it seem like the top 3 in the contest could choose which prize they wanted. I was confused, so I chose the free website.  Morgan explained that we came in third so we won the trip to the Summit. I was a little sad by this, but was excited to go to Canada.

I don't know why, but after a few hours Morgan changed his mind. He decided to give us the website instead! He upped our prize out of the kindness of his heart. Who does that? He gave away $6,000 more than he had to, and another $900 in free hosting fees for a year! Woo-hoo!

Why You Need To Check Out Real Estate Webmasters

So, with Morgan stepping up and being super awesome, I wanted to step up and be super awesome to. If you're looking for a great real estate website, by far the best choice you could make would be a REW site.

I am not saying this because we now have a REW site; I'm saying this because the websites speak for themselves.

I have been longing for a REW site ever since I heard about their company two years ago. I have done major research on real estate websites, and by my own understanding, REW sites will out perform any other site platform I have come across.

So, as you can understand, I am extremely excited for the new website, and over the next few months I will be documenting the success the new site brings us. I will be going over our analytics, the amount of leads it generates and I will be keeping track of the search engine rankings as well as what I'm doing to get those rankings.
