A Hatchet Ranch Adventure (Dena and Beths big adventure)

Recently I had a client contact me about looking for property on Hatchet Ranch. Beth (found me on Active Rain) had seen the entrances from Interstate 25, and asked if I would show her some vacant land. Hatchet Ranch is made up mostly of 40 acres parcels, but a few are larger.

The prices go from approx $1000 - $3500 an acre. Some parcels are more flat and are covered with wild grasses, some have rock out croppings and /or trees.

(Beth with two of the three dogs she brought with her. Meet Alou and Stella! We were at The Hatchet Ranch when I took this picture. Beth is not a tall person, but these are REALLY BIG DOGS! Alou and Stella were very well mannered and gentle.)

Hatchet Ranch - If you are fortunate you may have the Green river or a stream running on the property. And on the entire ranch you could see Elk, Coyote, Deer, Elk, Antelope and birds of prey. Cattle roam the ranch and help keep taxes down. If you are not interested in having cows roaming across your property it is the land owners responsibility to fence them out. Colorado is a fence out state.

OK, maybe this wasn't a "Big Adventure" but it was a nice day out.

Dena, maybe you were thinking about the dogs when you put "Big" in the title :)

From the looks of them it seems that all you were missing was a couple of saddles ...... giddy up doggie.... LOL

This is the third dog Beth had with her, Chico. I'm pretty sure I could have put a saddle on him.

Wow - what beautiful pups - I'm sure they would be very comfortable on 40 acres! Thanks for sharing about this great property.
