Darcy and I had to go up to Brian Head this afternoon.  We had heard that this past Wednesday that the high country got some snow.  We didn't get any down in town, but they did in Brian Head.  Here are some photos of the snow and some of the fall colors in Brian Head.  Brian Head is at an elevation of approximately 8000 feet above sea level, so snow really can occur almost anytime.  Here are the photos:

Wow!  Reminds me of when we lived in Durango Colorado.  We sure do miss that place!

Tony & Darcy, send some of that snow down this way...I for one miss it.  I've been in Alabam for 4 years now and I've seen a total of about 1" of snow!  Your photos are beautiful.

Great pictures of snow on the mountain!

Just worried about snow season which will be here before I think!

Tony and Darcy.

Where I live it is warm most all the time. For a few weeks it rains, and we have strong winds. In some areas they do have snow but not where I live.

Your pictures are beautiful. You can use them for Christmas cards

Pat, I feel what you're saying we had nearly an inch of snow after Memorial Day this year.  Granted that is a first, but still not ready for the white stuff!

Jean & Ralph, Durango is beautiful, Darcy's Aunt lives over there now.  Very pretty area!

Nick, I would gladly send some your way!

Prafal, I fear that you may be right about that!

Esperanza, Thank you, I hadn't thought of Christmas Cards just yet.

Michael, I am not ready for snow yet either!

Tony and Darcy, I LOVE snow...because I have it "only" when I want it! It is beautiful and I love that Lake Tahoe is not that far away from where we live. :)

Leilani, If we had snow like that, I would probably like it more!  It is just a little early!

Tony & Darcy,

Nice photos.  This post is a good reminder to enjoy the few days we have left before the snow covers the fall colors.  I better hurry up taking photos and finish my series of post on the fall colors in Montana!   :)

Joshua, thank you!

Gerry, In Montana, this is true!  It is after the 1st of October and honestly, it is possible to get snow any time now, at least in the high elevations.  I am sure that it isn't much different in Montana than it is here.

Tony and Darcy  I suppose snow always comes early at 8,000 feet - glad we're only 100' above sea level

Love the fall colors, but that white stuff? You can keep it. It’s just too cold for me.

Bob, it is forecasted to snow again tonight, this time as low as Cedar City.

Russel, The older that I get, the more I feel like you, it is just getting too cold!
