A Cool Roof Adornment

Roof Adornment in Aguanga CA

I've driven by this spanish-style home on the way from Carlsbad to the desert on Cahuilla Road (Route 371) near the San Bernardino National Forest a number of times, and have wanted to snap a pic of this great sculpture on the roof every time I drive by.

Today was the day, finally. The owners run a big vegetable stand so it was the perfect opportunity on the way home late this afternoon.

If the owner created this, he or she is pretty talented. In any case, it's an interesting roof adornment. And not too far up the road from Lizard Lane. Seems appropriate.

That used to be a museum back in the day. Was the ome of one of the early pioneers/rancher in the area. There was a lot of indian artifacts and other interesting things in there and for a few bucks you could take a look at them. They closed it down and sold every thing off after the old man died back in the mid 90's.
