Here is a handy reference guide to the different MLS areas of Colorado Springs (and surrounding areas) and the general boundaries that define each of them.
The first column is the code that the MLS uses to define the area. The second column explains what each code means and what the approximate boundaries are, as what school districts can be found in some of the more residential areas.

| EYR | Ellicott/Yoder/Rush - East of Falcon |
| F/V | Fountain Valley - Just S/E of Colorado Springs to include parts of Ft. Carson (D-3 and D-8 Schools) |
| FAL | Falcon - East of Colorado Springs, West of EYR. (Includes Woodmen Hills, Meridian Ranch and Schriever AFB.) (D-49 Schools) |
| FLO | Florissant- in the Mountains, West of Woodland Park |
| FLS | Florissant South - in the Mountains, West of Woodland Park |
| MAN | Manitou Springs - Just West of Colorado Springs (D-14 Schools) |
