Tucked away in a nice corner of Lancaster County, PA is Windolph Landing Park. Part of the Lancaster Township network of community parks, Windolph Landing Park is special because of it's quiet setting and proximity to the Conestoga River.
Windolph Landing homes is a community built in the late 1980's with several styles of home, all detached single family units. Average resale price right now is about $200,000, so the area is nicely affordable at just over the county average sale price. The park is set back in the lower portion of the Windolph Landing community, along Wilderness Road which loops around. Go to the extreme back of the loop and you'll find the entrance to the park there, somewhat disguised by the driveways that flank it.
Windolph Landing Park has a very nice jungle gym setup with a safe, modern environment for kids to play in. The landing itself is only a few yards away, overgrown now but still visible. For the older set, a walk along the river is possible (not recommended for kids who might decide to fall in). The park also has a volleyball court and a well-kept pavilion with a moderate amount of picnic tables, good for perhaps 25 people to use. The park is clean and neat - rates high on my scale.
Take a drive down to Windolph Landing park and see a small corner of the Lancaster County PA lifestyle experience for yourself!
