Dena you are right there are still some great deals out there, and with the Interest Rates being as low as they are, there is no better time to buy then now.

George, are you finding that your clients (buyers) are looking to buy more house now that interest rates are at historic lows?

Dena, I don't think the the Interest Rates have had as much effect as they should have on the purchase end of the business especially for me.  We have always been looked at by Realtors as the Lender to send there First Time Homebuyers to since we are the largest Connecticut Housing Finance Authority Lender in the State, and First Time Homebuyers seem to purchase no matter what the rates are.  I have not seen the Interest Rates be a factor with the step up buyers, or upper end buyers, that market seems to be slow right now.  Where there has been more activity than usual is on the refinance end, though most of my business continues to be First Time Homebuyer purchase business.

I can't see the rates getting much lower, and if they do that will probably mean that the economy is really tanking.
