When people think of a Notary Public they don't necessarily think mobile. A regular notary public works from an office that you travel to in order to have your document notarized. Usually, they work out of mail box stores, copy centers, banks and travel agencies.

A Mobile Notary Public travels to you. Our motto is have stamp, will travel! The mobile option is for those that want the convenience of someone coming to them. Our lives are so busy these days it's nice to have someone come to you. The traveling notary is also good for those that are home bound, in a nursing home, or hospitalized and it is impossible for the individual to leave to have a document notarized.

A mobile notary that works in the real estate field is called a Notary Signing Agent, or NSA. Instead of having clients come to their offices many title, escrow, and lending companies have the NSA meet with the borrowers at a time and place that is convenient for them. Many borrowers that I worked with have thanked me profusely for meeting them at their home. They have expressed that signing their loan documents was made just a little less stressful by me bringing the documents to them.

The next time your client needs their loan signed and notarized conveniently and with ease feel free to browse The Rain for a qualified Notary Signing Agent in your area.

LaShon, I think it is wonderful that you can make your career as a notary.  I got my notary license the other year, mostly for convenience for some of my clients and friends, but haven't had the chance to really do much notary work.

I can't tell you haw many think that notaries make no money.  And in fact most do not, but it is our specialty spin from what a notary can do that makes us money.  I have been notary for 18 years, but in all but about 2, I think I make $100, and spent $500-600 in renewals, insurance, embosser, etc.  Now I make my living off having that 'stamp' and my willingness to travel.  I LOVE IT THOUGH!!!

Brian, when I first got my notary license I really didn't think I would enjoy the work but the opposite is true. One of the things I like is the variety, you never know who you're going to meet or what you're going to notarize. It keeps the work interesting.

Ron, like with most business ventures it is what you make it. If you enjoy the work and marketing your services then the money will follow.

John, I've been contracted out by title companies before. It's always nice for the borrowers when companies take advantage of our services.
