I understand how Scott Haig, Kathleen Mitchell-Biggs, Karen Cudworth, Craig Peck, Scott Lillian, Dale Baker, Matt Cassarino, Talia Page, Linda Calaldo feel. I would like to read their blogs but I don't know how to go about it since I don't know what state they are in.
I just did a blog on my Community, Kenai, Alaska but then when I checked it out on my blog it was in a scrolling mode....no one wants to take the time to read a blog article if they have to scroll thru it. How do I correct it. How do I correct this or get into the above mentioned names blogs.
THANKS FOR THE INFORMATION KATHY CLULOW TRIED CLICKING ON YOUR NAME ---YUP GOT YOUR INFORMATION. YOU HAVE REALLY BEEN BUSY ON ACTIVERAIN TO EARN OVER 12,000 POINTS. SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE BEEN BUSY.....HOW DO YOU LIKE LIVING IN CANADA.
I am amazed to see these questions go unanswered by the poster. is this not an "official" post by the ActiveRain gods? 'Guess I won't bother to post my question about how to delete an Associate.
Peggy - Canada is great, Ontario is better and Uxbridge is the best in case you can't guess we live in Uxbridge, Ontario, Canada.
Busy -Yes busy reading and commenting on other folks posts to learn more and more about how this community functions and how to meet or pass the bar set by by those who have gone before. (hopefully our comments and posts are getting better as we learn from our peers.)
Thanks, Active Rain, for providing this forum for socializing and blogging. Looking forward to completing my setup - I need to figure out what to say in my profile. Should be fun! And I am excited to interact with you members. See you soon!
Margaret: Click on your Associates (Post) link on the left side of your My Home page, then choose the trash icon next to the picture of the Associate you want to delete. (The pencil icon is for adding/editing comment pertaining to the Associate).

I still can't seem to get the hang of all of this. I just left a rambling apology for a gentleman. I wandered into his site very lost. Well, I hope the only way is up from here.
Hi, Carol! Welcome to AR...please join here http://activerain.com/groups/newbies. Start with introducing yourself and you'll get welcoming support from the members.
Here's another link that you can read to get you started...
Thanks for the invitation ! - AR is the perfect place to share ideas, discuss RE issues, and introduce friends to new video technology that other agents are using to increase the effectiveness of their on-line communication.
Hello Everyone. Nice to find a place where everyone truly has common interests. I hope it stays that way and continues to be a useful valuable information resource exchange. I'm a newcomer to this community as well and need this kind resource.
Hello to the Staff and Leaders of AR, I just wanted to put in a suggestion to upgrade the spell checker. I love AR and I am grateful for it, so I ask this with full respect. Is it possible to upgrade the spell checker because it is not up to date on internet lingo and words. In fact, blog is always coming up as a miss spelling and it is about 90% of what we do here. I posted a blog asking for this to:
Just wondering how to put graphics in the comment section. I've seen some cute ones (like Georgina's) but I can't copy & paste anything into my comments. It says that it is the wrong something or won't fit?
Hi, Kathy! If you save your graphic as .jpeg, once you're ready to post it, click on the tree icon, it will take you to another window that will allow you to browse for your graphic. You can click on Appearance to place your image wherever you want it, then enter/insert, & finally post your comment. Hope that helps. :)
Hello, Georgina! I think if anybody who has knowledge would like to reply to any questions posted here, it will be greatly appreciated by AR and its members. It's like paying it forward kind of thing. :)
Georgina, you are right. Nobody responds back on this blog. They must have a ton of stuff to go through daily.
Kathy, in-case you every need to ask a question and nobody can help, click the CONTACT ACTIVERAIN link on the bottom of this page and they will respond back. On your first question to them, you get some points.
Yolanda, you are right it is like paying it forward. There are a lot of great people like yourselves who have helped many of us.
Thank you for the invitation. I look forward to getting to know my way around AR and I also look forward to the possibilities! This is definitely "paying it forward" a comment I read form Ernie!
Hi all, another baby boomer takes the leap into this new technology. I have been in real estate as a career for just over 8 years. I heard about blogging about a year ago and it took me this long to figure out exactly what it is. Not that I have really figured anything out. Here I am. A blogging virgin at 49. I look forward to learning and interacting with everyone. I hope that I will be able to contribute some articles that will be of interest to the group.
I just would like to thank the individuals that did welcome me here. I am going on my third year as a member of the National Association of Home inspectors and never investigated the link to this website. There seems to be endless opportunities here for Internet growth. I was taught to use local marketing tools from a old school educator. Now he has even changed his total viewpoints on the amount of business that is avalible through the Internet. I am looking forward to an exciting year in the home inspection business. Thank You from : Smart Move HomeInspection LLC, Merry Christmas to all.
Take your time and read all the newbee information you can. There are endless opportunities here to make contacts and read about experiences of professionals from different areas.
Hello, Christi, Bill, Jerry, and Doug! Welcome to AR! The best way to learn your way around is to read as much as you can. Join the AR Newbie Group and introduce yourselves. If you have questions, post them there as well and you'll get support and answers. Enjoy the rain!
I have found that the open forum of AR is very healthy. People are free to share their views and opinions and get feed back from people around the nation. I am glad that I found this site.
Hello to all. I am new to this blogging thing. I am a home inspector and I look forward to associating with other home inspectors and see whats going on around the country as well as my own back yard.
Great Place for newbies to start. With all the information available this will help get me headed in the right direction. I can not wait to get started. Thank you
Hello Newbies! I joined Active Rain about a year or so ago, didn't know what I was doing..so all I accomplished was signing on, did a profile, added my photo, and there it sat, for well over a year. Then after a real estate slow down in January 2008, one of my New Year Resolutions was: learn & get proficient with a new technology. So, I took a blogging class from Joeann Fossland & Fran, called No Blogger Left Behind. It was for 8 wks, just finished up. So after completing that class, I jumped in last week & got pretty active here blogging, taking knowledge learned from that class & reading posts of others here at Active Rain. I am now ranked #2 in Lorain County, Ohio & ranked up quite a few points last week, plus having fun doing it. There are many great people here on Active Rain. Wishing all of you the best of luck, I'll be checking back here now and then. Happy Blogging. If you have questions...I'll share what I have learned.
Hello I am very new to blogging this is my first. Hope I do it right. My target market is Parkville Maryland and the surrounding areas. Does anyone know of any networking in the area?
Welcome to a great site. I have been on here for a couple of months now. I love the interaction and the blogging. Still not sure exactly what I am doing but learning as I go. As with most of the baby boomers. You to will learn as you go.
One thing I will say is that you have to be willing to spend a little time each week to keep up to date with people.
Don't try to do it all at once. Just like anything else inch by inch it is a cinch. How do you eat an elephant, one bite at a time.
If I can be of any help or you have any clients in the Middlesex County area of NJ I would be happy to help them with their real estate needs.
Hello - I am so new to blogging that I have no idea what it is but I am game. I received an e-mail from an agent in my office telling me to look at this site and well....here I am !!! 28 years in real estate and this is my first blog.
Hello out there in the rain. I am a 2 year veteran in this industry. Great time to get my feet wet. I have earned my e-pro designation and believe that this is the new frontier for realestate. Most of my clients are using the internet. I am looking forward to all your help and sugestions.
e-pro is a certification offered through the Board of Realtors. Being from the Dallas area, are you a member of MetroTex? Check out http://www.dfwrealtors.com, and hover over the Education and Training category. You will see an e-pro certification option appear in the third position down. It will explain the course, and you can check the education calendar for the next class offered. Basically, it is some in-depth training to get your technology skills to a level to give you an advantage over your colleagues.
Wow! Wonderful venue for learning and growing in our professions. I especially like the encouragement and sharing. After being a loan officer for just over two years, I lost my own home to foreclosure last year & attended the auction the day after Christmas on the steps of the County courthouse. The experience grew me as an individual, plunged my roots of faith into a deep search and left me a stronger, smarter and more committed loan professional. It allowed me the opportunity to move into FC prevention counseling/loss mitigation for an agency that serves a nationwide foreclosure hotline. I have found value in the loss of my own home as it well prepared me to speak to callers from a unique perspective as both loan officer and one who has prevailed in similar shoes. To say I learned a lot is an understatement. Now, I see my career with a new set of eyes and I work with deeper commitment and an unyielding passion for homeownership retention. If I may ever encourage or provide guidance for you or your clients, feel free to contact me for details.

And WOW to you Tricia, a sadder but wiser loan officer who has turned what would have produced a negative response from a less enlightened one into an appreciation of the benefit that comes when we receive instruction from lifes' experiences. I'm sure your attitude will propel you to new heights and serve as an inspiration to your clients.Had you been familiar with the money merge account and web-based software from UFF you'd probably have never lost your home to foreclosure.
I am very grateful that Active Rain is here to help all who have anything to do with real estate. I look forward to participating in much that it has to offer and can see how you can establish fantastic networking and business associations.
Thanks to Dick Betts, I am a new member to Active Rain, as well a new member to the "blogging world." I look forward to learning a lot from my peers within the real estate industry.
I love active rain, thanks for sharing all of your awesome ideas and success stories, in a time where things are moving a little slower it is great to have a website to go to that can keep you pumped up with success stories.
