The thought of buying a new home is exciting. Going out to preview all the builders models to see what floor plan works best for you and to see where you can afford to buy. That's the toughest part. Don't  you just hate it when you go to a Builders Model, you just saw the sign out front that says Starting In The Mid $400's

When you get inside the prices are $489,999 and everything that you ask about in the model is optional. Yikes! This is where a Realtor can save you a lot of time and energy and help you find the home that fits within your budget and in a community you will love.

There is so much for you to know about. It's is not just about looking at the pretty model home. A lot goes into building those homes.

Below is a series of video's that Erick Blackwelder my real estate partner is doing a home being built next to his home. The video series takes you from the start of construction on through to the framing of the home. At the bottom of the video featured area all the other video's Erick has done in the series and a bonus track about septic systems for acreage homes.

Another thing to consider when having a new home built is to know when to hire a good home inspector Jay Markanich in Prince William County Virginia, is the guy I would call.  He also writes some very good post and information for potential new home buyers.
