 Prairie Valley Road and Rosedale Avenue Progress Report

Rosedale Avenue

The contractor will begin replacing the chain-link fence at the school fields and installing hand railings, for safety, in a few locations where the back of sidewalk drops off at the property. The streetlights will be installed shortly as well.

Prairie Valley Road West

Paving is now complete between Giant's Head and Atkinson. The contractor is currently prepping for curb from Giant's Head to the roundabout and will be starting curb in this area on the week of the 11^th. Once the curb is in, sidewalks will be poured and the island planter in the centre of the new roundabout will begin to take shape. Streetlights are being erected and electrical conductor is being pulled through newly installed vaults and ducts.

Prairie Valley Road East

The contractor is still working on the sanitary sewer and the area between Atkinson and Highway 97 continues to be very congested. We still recommend that residents use alternate routes such as Rosedale Avenue and Jubilee East in order to help reduce traffic volumes in this are. Electrical and irrigation installation is nearing completion. Once this underground work is complete the contractor will begin placing road gravels in preparation for curbs and paving.
