Broker Dan ask in his blog "Who will win?" I got so busy and cranked up with a response I decided to start over with my own blog.
I have no idea who is going to win the elections, but I sure would like the folks in government to start listening to the people--that goes for, local, State and Federal. Aren't we all tired of all of the "pork" put in before they pass bills (we are the ones that pay for that). I am tired of thinking of public servants not having any ethics. And, I am really tired of someone having to have money (lots of it) to get elected.
I don't think when our government was set up, that the elected officials were supposed to stay in government a long time. I think they were suppose to do their public service and then go back to their homes and make their livings. Government officials have become part of a "club" and seem to act like the rules that apply to regular folks do not apply to them. They vote themselves raises, get better health care and retirements than anyone else.
We are geared to only having two parties and neither one is doing a good enough job. This "grid lock" needs to stop; we are paying these folks a great deal of money to get things done. I want to elect someone that has business sense, ethics, fairness and wants to do "what is right," not what "the party" or special interests want.
Guess I just had to vent--now it is your turn!

Hi Leslie I like your blogs. This one gives me a chance to rant too. First, I think we are on the same page about one thing: I always think someone should have had a 'real' job before they are president. It doesn't seem to work out well when they are career politicians (well and sometimes even the ones with jobs don't work out, but I digress lol)
What has bothered me since I moved back to Cleveland is the negativity in the television ads. It's amazing, both sides, if you believe them, everyone running is a criminal. I don't remember noticing this when I lived in Maryland. Maybe it's all just gotten worse everywhere! Ok, I feel better! Let's hope we get some intelligent elected officials after tomorrow.
