Check one of the online news sources for live coverage from Chile. I just watched the rescue capsule being lowered into the mine with one person who was going into the mine to assist in the rescue below. The coverage I was wateching was foxnews.com, but it should also be on cnn.com and other network and cable channels and websites.
It is quite an amazing story. Trapped miners will start being pulled out of the mine tonight.
I heard the rescue was just days away and well before Christmas as first predicted. The capsule they have to be transported in is claustrophobic as best. I wish them Godspeed.

I just can't believe those guys have been underground for so long. This is a very happy story at a time when we need happy endings. My thoughts have been with those poor miners. And they seem like such gracious men.
They are showing on tv one of the resuers is down in the mine talking to the miners. And yes, it looks like that rescue capsule is a very tight fit for the hole that was drilled.

This is incredible. The task is still daunting and dangerous. We all need to keep the miners and the rescuers in our prayers until the last man is on the surface.

Yes, I watched on Fox the first miner reaching the top safely and he looked great. It's simply amazing and I pray all the rest will reach the top as well.

This is such an amazing story now with two rescuers in the mine and the second miner on the way to the top. I guess this will be going on most of the day tomorrow. The Fox feed has the Chile TV feed, alternating from the top to a camera down in the mine. The president of Chile seemed to proud of how people have come together to bring about this rescue. And he reinforced the importance of mine safety. (My Spanish is good but I don't get 100% of what is said.) Just amazing.
