I certainly hope so.
Today is the last stage of a home improvement on our house. We have new siding, new sliding class doors, added a window where an air conditioner used to be and new gutters. Being in this business, I have read so many articles about how these types of improvements positively affect the resale value of your home that I almost have the statistics memorized. We selected an uncommon style of siding (dutch lap siding) for our area and it looks different than others in our neighborhood making our home unique (for now).
The best reasons for making improvements to your home are still; the house looks great, is more energy efficient, a pleasure to live in and easy to maintain. The improvements cost twice the price of my first car so the ROI will be nice if and when we sell. With 1 child starting her sophomore year in college and 1 starting his senior year in high school, we won't be going anywhere for a while.
