Monika we have friends in West Virginia that spend most of their weekends going around to tag sales, and when they come up here to visit guess what???  Yep you got it, they go to every tag sale they can find .... LOL

If only I had another square inch in my house. . . .   Since we're on the road so much, it's hard to resist stopping by this shop or that one  I just love to browse.  Northern Virginia and country counties in MD offer some wonderful shops too.

Great Localism post.

We hve a few flea markets like that in Texas, but not to the degree that's back East.  Yet another reason I would love to come back. So much browsing and so little time!

One man's junk is another man's treasure. Back in the 90's I used to sell sportscards at the flea market and buy also.

I like to read stories about people finding extremely priceless gems at flea markets.

thanks Monica,

Jay,

here is a good one, I bought a folding 3" ivory and brass rule for 50c. out of a basket of pocket

knives and such. Then I sold it at Burlwood antiques for 85$. (gee, hope it wasn't worth a ton!)

lots of fun!

Suzanne...The flea markets can be a lot of fun especially when it's too cold to go to the beach.

George...Jay's mom used to that as well. They would spend their weekends doing yard sales and flea markets.

Thanks Lenn.  It is amazing how many people love doing the flea markets and antique shops. We have one town that is referred to as Antique Alley.

Linda...You must plan at least a month when you come!

Carla...I've bought a few old Barbies for cheap money ( I collect them) and Jay some sports cards. We used to go more often but lately we've been hitting the coast. That fan was a great find...50 cents!!!
