Well its Thursday, over the hump and rolling toward the weekend ! On Friday and Saturday are the Michigan Boys State tennis tournament at Midland Community Tennis Center, See some great young kids playing tennis. Please join us Monday, October 18 from 4-5p.m. when Paul Oreffice and guests will be here to lead the dedication of the new $1.2-million outdoor tennis complex, named for the father of the Midland Community Tennis Center. The program will be brief starting at 4p.m. with cake and refreshments to follow. Mike Woody will MC. Guests include Julie Close, MCTC Operating Board Chairman, representatives of corporate and foundation sponsors and "Friends of Tennis" from the region. Construction is proceeding with the renovated hard courts ready for play in the Spring, followed by clay court action in June. The major covered viewing area across the newly-resurfaced terrace is spectacular. Guests and families, friends and members, staff and the public are welcome for the dedication for one of the most unique outdoor tennis environments in the Midwest hosted by Your MCTC in the Best Tennis Town in the US! The program is free. The excitement is free. Put your hands together for this important dedication that places the MCTC among the leaders in the nation with our Play To Win brand and record 39 courts.
