We've published our September home and condo report on DaneCountyMarket.com. For a quick overview, see the summary below.
Dane County home and condo sales decreased by 37% from last September, and were down 4% year-to-date.
The median home and condo price was up 14.3%, due primarily to an increase in condo sales for units $300,000 and above. (Note: this statistic does not mean property values are rising. It means a greater percentage of real estate consumers are choosing to buy more expensive real estate).
The year-to-date median price was even with the year-to-date price in 2009.
Real estate sales are at historically low levels. We've said it many times before and we'll say it again: Pricing is king in this market.
