Condominiums On The River in Downtown Miami

If you are looking to buy or rent a condominium in downtown Miami, you will quickly notice that a variety of luxury high-rise buildings are located on the Miami River. During the recent boom cycle that transformed the skyline of Miami, most of the prime waterfront locations were snapped up by developers of residential property. This means that many of the residents of downtown now get to enjoy breathtaking sunrises over Biscayne Bay and the Miami River from the comfort of their bed or sofa. The expansive vistas offer an ever changing waterscape as everything from kayaks and fishing boats to private yachts and ocean going cruise ships pass by below their windows.

I recently took a stroll along one section of the Miami Riverwalk, closest to the bay, and captured on video some of the condominium buildings that line the banks of the river. 

The pinpointed buildings are featured in the video above.  There are other condominium buildings along the river further inland, but I have omitted them from the map as they are not shown in this video.

I shot the video from the Riverwalk that runs in front of One Miami. One Miami is a two tower development, with a private driveway and gated security. It is adjacent to Bayfront Park and was one of the first developments in downtown Miami.

ONE MIAMI

Directly across the Miami River from One Miami lies the small man made island called Brickell Key.  This island is connected by bridge to the Brickell financial district, allowing for a very short commute to the office towers therein.  In this video I highlight three of the condominium developmets that line the Miami River, the three towers of Tequest Point, the far east inspired Asia, considered the most luxurious building on Brickell Key and Carbonell.

Back on the 'mainland' on the south bank of the river is the Brickell area. Prominently situated on the north east corer is the superlative ICON Brickell development, consisteng of three towers which also includes ICON Viceroy. The striking interior design of this project, by the internationally renowned Philipe Starck, makes is a standout among its peers.

Kitty corner from the entrance to ICON Brickell is 500 Brickell, a two tower development defined by the circle motif along the parking garage and the roofline. Although 500 Brickell is one block in from the river, many of the units enjoy river views. One block further west along the banks of the river lies Brickell on the River.  This ia also a two tower development, one of which contains all 2 story lofts and the other single story units.

Back on the northside of the Miami River we see EPIC, a mixed use building featuring luxury condominiums and the popular EPIC Hotel along with its Spa and dining options. Finally we view Metropolitan One Miami, commonly referred to as Met 1. This building lies across the street from One Miami.  So we have come full circle.
